Questionnaires
The Maryland State Retirement and Pension System Investment Division has developed a convenient way to submit investment proposals online. Investment managers and fund sponsors who wish to pursue opportunities with us should fill out the appropriate questionnaire below. Submit the questionnaire by email at invest-info@sra.state.md.us.
Once submitted, the questionnaires will be reviewed by Investment Division staff. The questionnaires may be maintained for future consideration, accepted for additional due diligence, or referred to one of our external partners for further review.

The Maryland State Retirement Agency (the "Agency") is distributing this Request For Information ("RFI") to Portfolio Analytics and/or Risk Consulting services providers wishing to supply Portfolio Analytics Software (returns based or holdings based) and/or Risk Consulting Services to the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (the "System"). In distributing this RFI, the Agency is not seeking to develop customized portfolio analytics software.
It is the Agency's intention to choose one or more firms from this process to provide portfolio analytics software and/or risk consulting services with respect to the System's total portfolio (the "Portfolio").
The Agency may
- choose one or more firms to provide only one type of services described in this RFI,
- choose one or more firms to provide multiple types of services described in this RFI, or
- determine not to choose any firms to provide services described in this RFI.
All firms responding to this RFI should complete the General Questionnaire and Questionnaires 1, 2, and/or 3 as appropriate with respect to the services the firm is proposing to provide. The System intends to contract with one or more firms to provide the services specified in this solicitation for a 5-year period beginning on or about November 1, 2012, with the option for two (2) successive one (1) year renewal periods.
Private Equity Software Services
The Maryland State Retirement Agency (the "Agency") is distributing this Request For Information ("RFI") to software firms wishing to provide the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (the "System") with interactive software which provides centralized fund relationship management, qualitative and quantitative analysis capabilities, data capture and manipulation, and document access and retention with respect to the System's private equity investments (the "Private Equity Software") and related services.
It is the Agency's intention to choose a firm from this process to provide Private Equity Software and related services for the Agency. However, the Agency may determine not to choose any firm to provide the services described in this RFI.
The RFI will be issued Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM (EST) on Friday, March 30, 2012. 01-31-2012: Foreign Tax Agent and Consulting Services
The Maryland State Retirement Agency on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System is distributing this Request For Information ("RFI") to tax, accounting and consulting firms wishing to provide certain foreign tax agent, accounting, compliance and consulting services to the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System.
The Board of Trustees of the System may contract with one or more firms. The RFI will be issued Monday, January 30, 2012. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM (EST) on Friday, March 2, 2012.
